Modi Cabinet Expansion: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday made big changes in his Council of Ministers. As many as 43 new ministers took oath of office at an event held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. The major revamp includes several new faces and elevation of many existing ministers. This cabinet rejig is the first since 2019 when the BJP-led NDA won a massive majority. Among the top new entrants were Narayan Rane, Sarbananda Sonowal, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Pasupati Paras while Union Ministers Dr Harsh Vardhan, Ramesh Pokhriyal, Babul Supriyo were among the ones who lost their place in the Modi Cabinet.
